Telling the time – Interactive clocks
With the rapid decline in the use of the Adobe Flash plugin, Cambridge ELT has removed its excellent interactive clock for practising telling the time. I have kept the picture of the clock for a bit of nostalgia 🙂
However, there are a couple of good alternatives that I have been using with my learners:
teacherLED.com has the closest I could find to the Cambridge clock that gives learners practice telling the time.
I also like the teaching clock at topmarks.co.uk because it enables you to easily adjust the time in fixed increments.
Last, but not least, I like the teaching clock at visnos.com because you (or your learners) can just drag the hands to the time you want and there are lots of customisation options. For example, I can change the colour of the second hand to match that of the clock face so that it becomes invisible and less of a distraction when teaching.

Gutted- I used to use the Cambridge teaching clock for years and wanted it to teach my own children. Thanks for the alternatives.
